My Travels With Becca
Hitty Emily's adventures continued in Arkansas where she saw all the
fields of corn, grains, and
vegetables. The weather was beautiful and the mosquitos were absent
(a miracle at this time
of the year). She picked out her souvenir at a STUCKEY'S which had a
tiny Razorback travel
duffel. From Arkansas, she journeyed on to Tennessee where she saw beautiful
lakes, visited
an Appalachian Crafts Museum, and went to antique stores. Her favorite
place in Tennessee
was the Casey Jones Train Museum and Country Store.
After Tennessee, Hitty-Emily traveled on to a small town near Asheville
at the base of a
mountain. Waiting for her arrival were the Hillbilly Hittys! They were
all dressed up to
celebrate the Fourth of July! She had brought 4th of July hats for them
along with some other
goodies, so they had a wonderful time celebrating! They surprised her
and all the other girls
with gifts. Hitty-Em, Hitty-Esther and Hitty-Emily each got a new outfit.
Hitty-Esther got a
pair of tiny Dutch shoes that fit her perfectly. Hitty Emily's surprise
was her own guitar and a
magnet in the shape of North Carolina! What fun they had together! Hitty
Emily got to visit
the Biltmore, the country's largest home. They even had a model of it
inside that was just
their size, but, unfortunately, no photos were allowed inside the house.
The next few days
were spent visiting all the antique malls in Asheville! One had a miniature
cabin just their
size! What a fun trip this has been so far!
